Breakfast Sausage Spice Mix

Mix this spice into ground meat to create that breakfast sausage taste! Or mix into a cream sauce to make a delicious breakfast gravy.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp ground sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp finely crushed rosemary leaves
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • (optional) Grind or crush the spices so that they are all evenly fine in texture. This helps evenly spread the spices' flavors when mixing the spice into the meat.
  • Store the spice mix or mix into raw meat to use right away.
