Breakfast Sausage Spice Mix

Mix this spice into ground meat to create that breakfast sausage taste! Or mix into a cream sauce to make a delicious breakfast gravy.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp ground sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp finely crushed rosemary leaves
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Method
 

  1. (optional) Grind or crush the spices so that they are all evenly fine in texture. This helps evenly spread the spices' flavors when mixing the spice into the meat.
  2. Store the spice mix or mix into raw meat to use right away.
